According to a post on the forum Nairaland, a trailer truck travelling on ABU Road in Zaria reportedly “spilled a sack of bullets” opposite Everyday Restaurant in Dogon Ice, Samaru. 

Eyewitnesses say residents and passers‑by scrambled to collect the scattered ammunition — raising serious questions about who was transporting the bullets, whether the transport was licensed, and what their intended destination was. 

Many fear the occurrence could be tied to the widespread insecurity affecting northern Nigeria, including banditry and kidnappings, and are calling for urgent investigation by security authorities. 

As of now, there’s no official confirmation from the police or army about the incident or the fate of the ammunition.
