Moving to London with a degree from home can feel intimidating, especially when employers keep saying “UK experience required” 😩. But honestly, once you sort out credential recognition, things become much smoother.

If you trained in Nigeria—whether in engineering, IT, accounting, education or health—the first step is usually ENIC (formerly UK NARIC).
👉🏾 They compare your Nigerian qualification with UK standards so employers/ recruiters can understand its equivalent.
👉🏾 You can apply online, upload your certificates, transcripts and ID, and they send you an official statement you can use in applications.

For some careers (teaching, health, law, engineering), you might also need professional accreditation. London has loads of accredited centres and guidance offices to help with this.

If you’ve done this before, please drop tips o! Some people don’t even know ENIC exists 😅.

Has anyone done ENIC from London recently? How long did yours take? 📩👇🏾
