Nephew reveals exact day his abducted priest‑uncle was killed — pleads for wife’s release
The nephew of Venerable Edwin Achi, a vicar from the Anglican Diocese of Kaduna, has publicly stated that his uncle was killed in captivity — specifying that the killing occurred two days before the kidnappers posted photos of him and his wife online.
Achi and his wife, Sarah Achi — a customs officer — were abducted on 28 October 2025 from their residence in Nissi community, Chikun LGA, Kaduna State.
According to the nephew’s post on X (formerly Twitter):
“Water just full my eyes. K*lled him 2 days ago, & posted their pictures like nothing happened, while the ultimatum hasn’t even lapsed.”
He appealed to security agencies — and to the public — to help secure the release of Sarah, who remains in captivity along with the couple’s child, and urged urgent action to prevent further tragedy.
The family had reportedly been asked to pay a ransom of ₦600 million for the couple’s release; that demand came shortly after their abduction.
